Vertas Staff Awards Event

Last Friday, the 26th of February, Malene Nielsen and Casper Moller of Honeydew Health (the company behind Absencehub.com) attended the first annual “Making the Difference – Staff Awards” of our client Vertas. The event, which took on an aura of the “staff Oscars” was held at The Hangar in the grounds of the beautiful Milsom Kesgrave Hall in Ipswich, Suffolk and drew the attendance of more than 150 staff and sponsors. There were speeches from Vertas’ chosen charity of the year, the East Anglian Air Ambulance, and Group Managing Director, Ian Surtees. The event was hosted by Heidi and Dave from Heart FM Breakfast. There were 9 main award categories and they also honoured the outstanding trainees of the year.

Ever since Ian Surtees joined the then Eastern Facilities Management Services from another one of our client companies, OCS, in late 2014 the company has gone from strength to strength. It has re-branded as Vertas and expanded from its Suffolk base into Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

Honeydew Health was proud to be one of the sponsors of Vertas Staff Awards, which recognised the exceptional performance of team members from its 2,500 strong workforce. Seeing the level of engagement among the employees was great and we got to speak with many members of staff as well as the other sponsors and a good time was had by all.

We were really impressed to see how one of our key clients put on an amazing event that rewarded the “Employeeship” traits of their employees. It is the commitment of those staff members and those seeking to emulate them, on which Vertas will build their future growth and we wish them every success in achieving this.

Finally, we would just like to add our congratulations to all of the nominees and winners and say “well done” for outstanding work throughout the last year, or, in the case of the Lifetime Achievement Award nominees, up to 30 years of service to the company.
